String Trios
String Trios are small ensembles of string instruments with three players. String trios have dated back to about half way through the 18th century and the earliest combination consisting of two violins and a cello.

Heres a great example of a string trio piece!
An example of a string trio ensemble is the "trio broz", a sibling cover band founded in 1993, based in Italy. Their band consists of a violin, a viola and a cello and they perform classical pieces. Here is a link to one of their covers of "String Trio" by Luis Bacalov
